You might recall that, a few weeks ago, I had to transition my email subscription system from FeedBurner (which is what most people on Blogger use) to Mailchimp, because FeedBurner's email subscription system is being discontinued in July. Well, it occurred to me that many of my fellow bloggers would be dealing with this issue as well, and so I decided to record a video tutorial on how to make this transition yourself if you have a blog on Blogger! It's a pretty long video, because it's a pretty long process—there might be other services instead of Mailchimp that are easier to set up, but Mailchimp (a) is free for most bloggers, (b) is full of features, (c) has a thorough support database, and (d) is not going to go bankrupt or disappear of the face off the earth in a week, so I decided it was the service to go with. Unfortunately, I have to miss MMGM yet again for a second week in a row, due to my own poor planning. Unfortunately, Google has decided to make a gigantic mess for basically everyone on Blogger by discontinuing FeedBurner's email subscription system in July of this year. Because I had some spare time this week, I have migrated my email subscription system from FeedBurner to a new system called Mailchimp.  So what does this mean for you? Well, first off, you do NOT need to resubscribe to keep receiving my  emails —I exported all of my subscribers from FeedBurner and imported them into Mailchimp, so if you have been receiving emails in the past, you will continue receiving them now. What a week. I'm not going to get into everything except to say that I am of course utterly appalled and disgusted by the anti-trans legislation in Arkansas. I heard from others that there is a small nonprofit organization in Arkansas called Intransitive that supports transgender people and is advocating against these laws; consider making a donation! Unfortunately, I don't have the mental fortitude for a full super-depressed write-up on that mess—at the rate we're going in the world, I would never actually have any time to review books—but I did want to mention the situation quickly.
